Tofu Scramble


Breakfast foods are the best ever. Tofu scramble is favourite at home. This is a great one, You can play with the spices (we love tumeric!).

Our potoato hash is topped with locally made Gusta sausage! So amazing. We used Soyganic tofu, which is our new go-to.

Tofu Scramble

Serves: 2 Cooking Time: 30 minutes


  • — scramble —
  • 350g extra firm tofu
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder

  • cilantro
  • hot sauce



Press the tofu into a dish towel or paper towel to soak up any excess liquid.


Crumble the tofu by hand or with a fork into bite size chunks.


Prepare the spices in a small dish.


Chop the onion and bell pepper into cubes.


Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a pan and cook the onion and pepper for 3-4 minutes on medium heat.


Add the crumbled tofu and sprinkle the spices evenly over top. Mix well.


Cook the tofu another 7 minutes, over medium. It's done when it's lightly browned.


Garnish with some chopped cilantro and Sriracha sauce. Add a little salt and pepper if you like.
